Our calculator is simple on the surface, but a handful of tricks make it faster to use. Here are some worth
Working Faster With Keyboard
Type Instead of Click
Enter digits and operations three ways: the on-screen keys, the number row above your letters, or the numeric keypad. The Enter key does the same job as the calculator's = button, so you can run a calculation without touching the mouse.
Escape Is Your Reset
While you're using the calculator, pressing Escape works just like the AC (All Clear) button, as it clears everything for a fresh calculation. One key, clean slate.
Escape Closes Panels
When you're viewing a panel like Features or Shortcuts, Escape closes the panel and drops you back to the calculator. No need to reach for calculator icon or the menu.
Keeping Calculator In View
Click Title to Bring Into View
Click the word Calculator above the calculator display and the calculator scrolls into view, sized to fit the height of your browser window. This is handy when there's a page header
or other content above the calculator and you just want the tool itself front and center.
Jump Straight To It With A Link
Add #in-view to the end of the address and the calculator comes into view the moment the page opens — for

Useful as a bookmark when you want to land directly on the calculator.
Saving and Sharing Your Setup
Settings Travel With A Link
Open the Settings panel and change anything. Then below the settings you'll see a URL that contains your choices. You can usually ignore it, since your settings are already saved in your browser. But it's there for when you want it: send that link to someone and the calculator opens with your same settings for them, too.
Bookmark To Carry Settings Between Browsers
Because your saved settings live in one browser only, the settings URL is how you move them around. Bookmark that link, and clicking it in any browser, on any device, sets the calculator up the way you like it, no reconfiguring.
Two Calculators At Once
Use Two Different Browsers
Each browser keeps its own separate saved data, so if you want two fully independent calculators running side by side — each with its own history, memory, and settings — open the calculator in two different branded browsers, such as Chrome and Firefox. They won't touch each other's work.
